Delaware flag football program

My plan is to start a Flag Football League based out of Dover, Delaware. This league will host league play that lasts 8-12 weeks including playoffs and pop-up tournaments. The formats will be 7 man. contact and non-contact, as well as 5 man contact and non-contact. I've played in leagues and witnessed how other leagues operate. I want to provide the most authentic and in-depth league experience for both players and staff involved with the league. To give the players a great experience I would like to provide stats and rankings of players and teams. These stats will come into play at the end of the season when All-Star voting opens. In my experience I've witnessed players have amazing seasons, but stats were not provided so said players did not get an All-Star Nod. By giving players recognition for their hard work the league should have a good retention rate of teams and players.

On the media end I plan on streaming games live from multiple angles to give fans and other players footage of the games. I believe this will allow teams to get an authentic experience by allowing them to watch film of a team that they may have to play later down the line. A top 10 plays from the week will be posted on an Instagram page allowing players to watch in-season highlights weekly. Photos of players will also be posted to an Instagram page. I plan on having a podcast weekly for future and past matchups and any hypotheticals. Team captains, coaches, and players will all be allowed to come on the podcast and give their outlook on matchups and players to lookout for on their team or another team.

I believe the media aspect will bring in a lot of players and teams because people love to see and hear themselves. This leads into my next point of personal highlight tapes. Each player will have the opportunity to pay for a highlight tape at the end of the season. I believe with the Olympic games 4 years away this league can help players develop and send in highlight tapes to the right people to earn a tryout for Team USA. I have played with and against many former D1 athletes and former NFL players, so players getting a shot to try out for Team USA isn't as farfetched as it sounds.

However, with all, to promise and provide these experiences for players we will need financial help to start up. The idea of volunteers keeping stats and film would work in a perfect world, but people would like to be paid for their work. I've witnessed players pay $45 to play 3-6 games for weekend tournaments that provide all the listed above. By limiting our entry to $45 a player with a roster limit of 16 that would be 720 per team with a max roster.
